> How Are You Masking Your Products?
Posted by Victor Star - 09-1-10 16:02 - 12 comments
I've been using old vinyl to mask off the areas I don't want to etch or get "over spray" on. It works but it's pretty time consuming cutting out pieces and getting everything covered. Really a pain getting around mug handles also.

Just wondered what are you all using to protect the glass? Any specific type of tape, spray or film you use?

Thanks,
Darren

> Need Help Finding Spiral Art Glass Supplier
Posted by Sporko - 08-26-10 15:33 - 2 comments
Has anyone come across a supplier that has a Spiral Art Glass design that's about 8"-12" tall?

I've already gone through M-block, toujours, cystal-d, cystal blanc, etc... with no luck.

US Imprints had an item that would work but they do not sell wholesale. The image below is the type of item I'm looking for.

> Etching The Bottom Of Pint Glasses
Posted by Chain2 - 08-25-10 13:23 - 11 comments
I've etched quite a few pint glasses. Lately I have been adding a design to the bottom of the glass. The customers are thrilled with the idea. I charge them a bit more, and it doesn't take very much extra time since I mask off the bottom of the glass anyway.

Just though I'd pass the idea along so others here could use it.

(The etching is on the outside of the glass on the bottom)

Here're some things I've done lately:

BUDDY PIC #1 had some wrinkles in the RM on the right side.
#2 & 3 turned out pretty good.
The pics aren't the greatest.
I scotch taped white paper on the back of the glass to see what was happening as i blasted, it worked real good.

SHAKEY'S BAR came out good, just my photography not so good.
