Hi Gang,

Me too! Randall, you too need to be teaching there. The only reason there aren't more sandcarving/engraving classes is that no one has submitted a proposal! Think about it....and they pay your expenses, get the glass and machinery donated....Keeks

gosh....it would be so awesome....I have been teaching for years, ... it would be so easy especially if they pay expenses and provide "stuff" although I would have to send over bits and pieces, shucks and they wouldn't have the right drills??...
But it starts on my birthday so that's cool coffeeee.gif so much thinking to do...need a PR person.....plus I have so many people from the states who email all the time wanting to learn which recently prompted me to start that facebook page, which seems to be going well. People are hungry for it...
nice to dream, that's how things start.

Hi Les,

Why don't you PM me so we can discuss some business stuff. I see a lot of opportunities for someone of your caliber to cross the pond with all expenses paid...As I am so fond of saying, "Puh-leez". Smiles, Kiko

Kiko,

I couldn't agree more.

Have Les click on THIS link. This will be one of many reasons for her to leap to pond. This facility is in Las Vegas. She LOVES golf.

Please push for it Les. I couldn't get there, US or Britain are both other side of the world really. But the drill really needs to be put out there and lots of people would love to know how to use it well. Can't think of anyone better to do it.
There is a new glass coldworking book out, and according to it engraving is done on a lathe, a drill is ok for small light bits. I was a bit annoyed and let them know, when the rest of the book is great.
I bought a foredom drill last year from US and it is great. Good speed control(foot) especially at lower end. Collet and quick handpieces. Powerful motors. Had trouble getting through at first then found them great to deal with. They maybe a good connection.
Hope you all get get there and make the most of it, and yes I'm p ssed off there's nothing like it over here.
Peter.

Peter,

Maybe those who go can provide a video or pictorial view of the show with captions. Not sure if anything can be done about sharing the workshop experiences, but at least you could get a taste of the show. I think it would also be mandatory to share pictures of any social gatherings, censored of course. wink.gif

Les,

If that link wasn't enough, we'll make you feel right at home by setting you up at the Royal Links Golf Club in Las Vegas. http://www.royallinksgolfclub.com/

Now you have no excuse. Well, at least in terms of golf accommodations.

Golf and Vegas I'll be there.
I have started driving to Vegas every other month to check up on my Mom.
Here's a picture I took last year on the course.
